New Music Video

Karla Bauer works as a Sr. Software Engineer during the day but when she kicks off her work heels, she transforms into a singer, songwriter and inspirational speaker.

Karla with her gift of songwriting has written and produced three albums. Her fourth recently released production was a tribute to Nina Simone titled, “Everything Must Change”. She continues to redefine the boundaries as an independent music artist with her music currently featured on Pandora Radio with her very own Music Artist and Holiday stations. You can also hear her original music on the playlists of radio stations world-wide and many independent movie soundtracks.

Her time and effort to remain a strong supporter and volunteer in the community is evident. Karla is the President and CEO of SHINE ON Music, LLC. working as a consultant for up-and-coming artists and veteran musicians providing them business education and teaching them how to build their music career in a digital world.

Karla is the featured speaker and coordinator of the Kansas City MAM (Musicians Assisting Musicians) program and holds the position as Music Director at Nall Avenue Baptist Church in Prairie Village, Kansas. She is a very active member of KC Jazz Alive, Kansas City Jazz Ambassadors, Kansas City Blues Society and King Cat Christian Music nonprofit organizations.

Karla is a board member, mentor, and volunteer for G.L.O.W. (Girls Leading Our World), an inner-city youth program to help educate and equip girls and young women with strategies for life and leadership development. The passion she expresses as a vocalist and songwriter is equal to her desire to bring her music and her message of hope to the world!
